Day One
Welcome to Halifax, Nova Scotia
A warm Welcome Reception and your Tour Trends Tour Director await your flight’s arrival in Halifax. A guided tour of this vibrant waterfront City includes a visit to the "Citadel" Fortress, the British main defense against the French.

Day Two
Peggy’s Cove & Cape Breton Island
This morning, visit Peggy’s Cove, a unique, rugged fishing village built on a snug harbor in the midst of large granite boulders scattered over the unusual landscape. A lighthouse perched on a granite ledge is now an operating post offi ce. Continue on to Cape Breton Island, connected to the mainland at the Canso Causeway. Overnight in Baddeck. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Three
Cabot Trail
Begin the day with a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum where exhibits demonstrate his experiments with the deaf, invention of the telephone and developments in aeronautics. The remainder of the day is spent exploring the Cabot Trail - one of the most scenic drives in North America. Running along the edge of the island, the road climbs to the tops of the mountains and dips to the valleys offering dramatic views along the way. Spend the night in the Sydney area. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Four
Ferry to Newfoundland
Board the Ferry for the trip across the Cabot Strait to Port aux Basques to begin our Newfoundland adventure. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Five
Corner Brook & Deer Lake
Travel through picturesque countryside, rolling hills, mountains and rivers to Corner Brook which is located at the mouth of the Humber River, one of the greatest salmon rivers in the world. Our local step-on guide will take us on a tour of the area. Overnight tonight in Deer Lake where a "Taste of Newfoundland" Dinner Buffet will complete a full day. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Six
Gros Morne National Park
The local guide will give an interpretive tour of Gros Morne National Park, which provides one of the world’s great geology lessons. At the Tablelands, 50 miles of the earth’s mantle has been shoved up on land from beneath the ocean fl oor. The Park is home to wildlife, many species of birds and whales are often seen offshore. A boat cruise in the area is included. Overnight in the Grand Falls area. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Seven
Interpretation Center & Gander
View the Salmonoid Interpretation Center, North America’s largest salmon enhancement project this morning. Travel to Gander, which is the site of the tragic airplane crash that claimed the lives of 256 American Servicemen and visit the Silent Witness Memorial. Lodging tonight is in Gander. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Eight
Terra Nova National Park
Motor through Terra Nova National Park where bold headland extend from a rocky, forested interior. Many animals live in the area and ponds and lakes dot the park. Arrive in the capital city of St. John’s for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Nine
St. John’s, Newfoundland - the place where the New World begins.
St. John’s is closer to Europe than any other city in North America. Take time for a walk on Water Street, the oldest street in North America. Enjoy the view of the natural harbor where vessels lay anchored 40 years before the Mayflower landed. Today, a local step-on guide will lead the tour of St. John’s, including a stop at Signal Hill where Marconi received the fi rst ever transatlantic wireless transmission and a visit to Cape Spear National Historic Site. The lighthouse at Cape Spear stands on a rocky cliff high above sea level and is one of Newfoundland’s oldest. The scenery is spectacular and whales are often spotted from this location. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Ten
Ferry to Nova Scotia
Prepare for an early departure and an all-day ferry trip from Argentia back to North Sydney, Nova Scotia. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day Eleven
Return to Halifax
Journey back to Halifax as our Newfoundland Adventure comes to a close. (Breakfast)
