Montreal & Quebec City
A French Toast
Day One
Montreal Arrival, Bienvenue!
The Tour Trends local guide greets the group upon arrival at the hotel in Montreal with a warm welcome reception. Following dinner, spend time at the Casino de Montreal. (Dinner)
Day Two
Tour of Montreal
Enjoy a guided tour of Montreal. This old city at the junction of two great rivers has had to grow upward because of these boundaries. Underground walkways shield its citizens from the elements and offer more space for development. Highlights of the tour include Old Montreal, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ste. Helene Island, Mount Royale Park, St. Joseph’s Oratory and the French Latin Quarter. This afternoon, journey to Quebec City for another taste of France. Admission to the "Quebec Experience", a 3-D show on the history of Quebec is included. A guided tour of the Chateau Frontenac Hotel, the world’s most photographed hotel, completes the day. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day Three
Quebec City Tour
Quebec City - a taste of the Old World in the New World. This is the only walled city north of Mexico and is defi nitely divided into the old and new. Newer development beyond the Parliament Buildings is shut off from the winding streets and 17th century buildings of Upper and Lower Town by aging walls. Highlights of the guided tour are Place d’Armes, Notre Dame des Victoires and the Citadel. This afternoon, the tour continues along the Saint Lawrence River to spectacular Montmorency Falls, which are higher than Niagara. Visits to the shrine, Basilique Sainte Anne de Beaupre, and to Marie’s Bread Ovens, a traditional bakery, are included. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day Four
Return to Montreal
Enjoy some free time this morning to experience Quebec City before returning to Montreal. Once in Montreal and after checking into the hotel, enjoy an evening of dining and entertainment at the famous Festin du Gouverneurs. (Breakfast, Dinner)
